- After having taught at Madison High School in Vienna, Va, for the past five years, I decided it was time to do something completely different. So, today I purchased a ticket that will take me from DC around the world in 10 months. I leave on September 5th to begin what I hope will be a trip of a lifetime. Here is a rough itinerary: September 5 fly into Cape Town, South Africa and fly out of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania after visiting the island of Zanzibar on September 28. Sept 28 fly to Goa, India where I will spend 2 months working with street children. Here is the link of the organization and what I will be doing: http://www.gvi.co.uk/pages/projectDetail.asp?expedition=99 After those two months, I will travel arond India for a couple weeks. December 10 fly to Bangkok and travel throughout Southeast Asia for 3.5 months. Next, I'll fly out of Singapore to Christchurch, New Zealand and travel around the south island for a month and then into Australia. I'll work my way from Melbourne to Cairns and then- home! I will do my best to keep this blog updated/put pictures up so you can see where in the world I am!
